My story of commuting

Hi, thanks for the initiative, I truly appreciate it.  I used to live and work in downtown and I loved it, I walked to work every day and spent 30 minutes for it. Everything changed after we bought a condo, it's near metro station Fabre and after I changed my job, it's near Ikea, St. Laurent. It's like I live in a different city and every day going to work and coming back is very hard for me. I spend 1 hour minimum on my commute, during winter and traffics it can be up to 1 hour 15 minutes - 1 hour 30 minutes. I take metro blue line till Snowdon , then I take orange line till Du College, then I take u bus till work. The alternative is to go to Cremazie and then take a bus, but it is still 3 commutes. The worst part is the bus, everyday at 9.00 and 17.00 there is a traffic and I don't see the situation getting better, there are too many cars and too many people working in this area. I am sure if there has been a metro line here or some other convenient buses or lines only for buses people would use public transport more. I am someone who doesn't like to drive, but I started my driving lessons because of this situation and whenever I have my license and feel comfortable enough  I will prefer to come here by car, it takes 15 minutes if there is no traffic and 30 minutes if there is, it is not comparable with 1 hour - 1 hour 30 minutes. And also I am very surprised that there are no carpool services , maybe you could create some platform for people like me, because it kills me everyday to see cars in the traffic with only a driver in it. That could be an alternative too. Thank you very much.
